Ed Bradley Scholarship

Established in 1994 by legendary journalist Ed Bradley, this scholarship honors his groundbreaking career and commitment to diversity in journalism. Best known for his award-winning work on CBS News’ 60 Minutes and as the first African American White House TV correspondent, Bradley was a champion of press freedom and journalistic excellence. The scholarship supports aspiring journalists of color pursuing careers in broadcast and digital media. Past recipients have gone on to work for NPR, CNN, Al Jazeera America, and other leading news organizations.

Eligibility

  • Open to undergraduate students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time of the award

  • Must be pursuing a career in radio, television, or digital journalism

  • Must plan to continue undergraduate studies in the upcoming Fall semester
