Python Bootcamp Scholarship

Funding provided by the Park Foundation and the Ottaway Family Fund to strengthen coding skills for journalists, educators and students.

Who is eligible?

Anyone who has an interest in learning how a programming language like Python can help in the newsroom.

What does the fellowship provide?

  • One-year IRE membership/renewal ($70 value)
  • Complimentary bootcamp registration (up to $300 value)

Required application materials:

  • LinkedIn page or link to resume
  • Links to two clips showcasing data work
  • Letter of support from supervisor/appropriate person to attend the training. Letter should include why you are deserving of a scholarship to receive this training.
  • Describe a journalism project that Python could potentially help you tackle
