James Richard Bennett Scholarship

The scholarship is made possible by Dr. James Richard Bennett, professor emeritus of English at the University of Arkansas.

Who is eligible?

Journalism students in Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma or Louisiana. University of Arkansas, Fayetteville students are not eligible.

What does the fellowship provide?

For attending the conference in-person, the fellowship includes:

  • One-year IRE membership/renewal ($25 value)
  • Complimentary conference registration included
  • Four hotel nights (up to $956 value)
  • Travel stipend ($500)
