NIHCM Journalism Grants

The National Institute for Health Care Management supports timely health care journalism that informs efforts to improve the health of Americans and that examines emerging health issues and their implications for cost, quality and access. Grants provide funding for health reporting, educational opportunities for health care reporters and support for documentary films and their public engagement campaigns.

NIHCM is particularly interested in the following topics:

  • Healthcare affordability
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Provider consolidation and changing markets
  • Health care delivery
  • Chronic disease management
  • Artificial Intelligence

NIHCM will also accept proposals outside of these specific topic areas that meet the general criteria of focusing on rising health care costs and affordability, through improved health care management, financing, delivery and organization.
