Sustainability Program

Grants of up to $500,000, along with low-interest loans and advisory support, to fund implementation-ready collaborations that strengthen the long-term sustainability of public media organizations.

Who it’s for: Public media organizations and partners working on collaborative projects involving two or more entities; at least one must be a CPB-qualified public radio or television station.

Focus: Structural collaborations that improve efficiency, reduce duplication, and increase revenue while maintaining strong local service. Eligible models include mergers, regional networks, shared services (e.g., HR, finance, technology), and partnerships across organizations.

Amount/value: Up to $500,000 in grants per project, plus access to loans and advisory services.

Deadline: Rolling (Letters of Intent reviewed on an ongoing basis).

How to apply: Submit a Letter of Intent; selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals.
