F.M. Kirby Grants

In an effort to focus their impact on longtime grantee partners working within our geographic areas of interest, the F. M. Kirby Foundation is no longer accepting letters of inquiry. Their program team is dedicated to identifying organizations working to strengthen our communities and extending invitations to apply when appropriate.

Grants Process

The F. M. Kirby Foundation has transitioned to an online-only, rolling application process, as they continue to further refine their grantmaking. At the start of each year, invited organizations will be notified of their application window, including the application opening date and submission deadline.

To improve organizational efficiency, the F. M. Kirby Foundation remains committed to fostering flexibility and support for their grantee partners as we collectively transition to this new process.

Funding Restrictions

  • No grants are made to individuals.
  • No grants are made to public foundations which would, as a result thereof, become private foundations.
  • No loans are made.
  • No grants are made to underwrite fundraising activities such as benefits, dinners, performances, or sporting events.
  • Only one grant is considered per year for invited organizations.
